"After all is said and done, more is said than done." - Aesop

I have not been in blogging mode these days! Much has been said, but little has been recorded!

However, I must say that an exciting new development has occured in my son ... his imagination is going full-force. Last night, he was eating a graham cracker and he bit it into the shape of what he decided was a horse. The next one was a cow. This morning, he found a styrofoam packing peanut on the front patio (no, I have no idea what it was doing there) and he decided it was a "troublesome truck!" Thankfully, I caught him just as he was about to put that in his mouth and disposed of it. He was pissed, but seemed to get over it quickly.

Another favorite pastime of his these days is "building a bridge" with the sofa cushions. The bridge goes from the seat of the couch to the coffee table. He also likes to jump on the couch and yell things like "transpirit!" Repeatedly. I have absolutely no idea what it means, but I'm so thrilled to see my boy using his imagination on the everyday objects rather than depending solely on actual, manufactured toys (wonderful as they are) for entertainment.
